By Air: One can reach Leyte by taking a flight via Manila or Cebu. In Manila you need to transfer from the international airport terminal to the domestic airport terminal for a direct flight to Tacloban City, Leyte.
From Tacloban, buses or vans travel to Baybay also every hour, traveling time is approximately 2.5 hours.

By Sea: If your flight is coming from Cebu City, you can take a taxi from the airport to the harbor/pier – You can choose to ride a passenger vessel via Ormoc City or direct to Baybay City. Make sure to check the schedule of the boats before making a plans.
From Ormoc buses and jeepneys travel to Baybay which is about a 1-hour drive
- Holy Rosary Cathedral – Built by Spanish Friars in 1895, the altar of the Cathedral was designed by Dr. Jose Rizal himself.
- Linabo Peak – 3,003 steps to Linabo Peak offers tourists a breathtaking view of the twin cities of Dapitan and Dipolog. The peak is also the venue where “Katkat Sakripisyo” of Catholic devotees take place.
- Cogon Eco-Park – 344 hectares of reforestation zone composed of grown and aged trees of different species such as Mahogany, Molave, Acacia, Narra, Rattan, Lumbayao and so much more. Birds, reptiles and other wild animals consider this home. The Cogon Eco-Park is also a great camping site for mountaineers.
- Sungkilaw Falls – The falls was developed by the local government in collaboration with the Subanen (the native group dwelling in the area). Cottages and comfort rooms constructed around the area encourages a more relaxing and convenient stay for tourists. Paved walkways have also been placed to promote a more comfortable walk for visitors.
- OISCA Forest Park – The Organization of International Spiritual and Cultural Advancement Park is a joint project of the Japanese OISCA and the city government. Declared as a bird sanctuary, the park gives its visitors 64 hectares of lush vegetation as it showcases conservation and ecological balance.
- Sicayab Beach – 7 kilometer-stretch of fine grey sand, locals and tourists alike flock the area during holidays and weekends.
- Montaño Spanish Style Sardines is Dipolog City’s most popular food delicacy. Bottled in clear glass jars, the Montaño Spanish Sardines are cooked in vegetable oil (olive or corn) with salt, peppercorns, pickles and carrots. Some of Montaño Sardines are spiced for those who love hot and spicy tastes.
- Sinulog sa Dipolog – Celebrated every 3rd Saturday of January, Sinulog sa Dipolog is a thanksgiving festival to the most Holy One for all the blessings received by the city. Street party highlighted by street dancing gives color and life to this festivity. Lively costumes, face paint and vibrant colors fill the streets and the spirit of the people participating in the celebration.
- Katkat Sakripisyo – Held at the Linabo Peak, Catholic devotees climb the peak during Holy Week as part of their sacrifice and penance for their sins.
- Pagsalabuk Festival – Street dancing, trade fair, motocross, and a beauty pageant are but some of the things that the people of Dipolog do to celebrate the Pagsalabuk Festival. “Pagsalabuk” which refers to gathering; the festival is a celebration of the different cultures that are present in the city.
- Pasko sa Dipolog – For the month of December, Dipolog holds nightly shows and fills the city with Christmas decors and lights.
