Lechon - Cebu is known to be the home of the best lechon of the Philippines. The name “lechon” came from the Spanish term that refers to a roasted suckling pig.
Buwad(Dried Fish) - Cebu is also known for its dried fish, or locally known as Buwad. It is a popular product or pasalubong(gift) in the province among tourists and locals alike. There are various kinds of dried fish, such as Danggit, Pusit, Dilis, Tapa,and Buwad Pinikas — are all available in Taboan.
Dried Mangoes - It is said that dried mangoes are one of the Philippines' most famous export product. There are 2 kinds of dried mangoes: the ripe(Yellow mangoes) and unripe(Green mangoes). There is also a new kind of dried mango that just recently came to the market, its the chocolate coated dried mangoes.
Chicharon - It's a deep fried pork's back fat or pork rind. It is best dipped and eaten with spiced vinegar. Every person visiting Cebu should taste this aside from Lechon. There are also variations in Chicharon, such as with fat, without fat, spicy, and just plain regular pork rind/chicharon.
Otap - It's an oval-shaped crunchy baked biscuit covered with sugar. It is known as one of Cebu's best delicacies and sought after pasalubong snacks, for both local and international tourist.
Chorizo de Cebu - It is a special kind of native Filipino sausage or "longganisa," Cebu-made chorizo is known for its sweet, spicy taste.
Mazareal - Mandaue City is where the best Mazareal products come from. These are rectangular bars of mixed ground peanuts and sugar, packed in white papers.
Torta - The one made in Argao in southern Cebu is still the best although torta are available in many bakeshops in Cebu. Argao's previous Pitlagong Festival was replaced in 2011 by La Torta Festival, a feast mainly dedicated to its famous delicacy.
Rosquillos - Originally made in Liloan Cebu, Rosquillos, a circular shape cookie with a hole at the center, is now one of the favorite snacks among locals and visiting tourists.
Bibingka - This type of rice cake is available in many parts of the country, but Mandaue City is known for its special bibingka as it is baked in a special oven locally known as "Urnohan."

Local Festivals in Cebu City

Sinulog Festival - is celebrated in honor of Cebu's patron saint, Sto. Niño. Happens every 3rd weekend of January. On Saturday on that weekend, there will be a procession starting and ending in the Sto. Niño Church, routes vary every year. On Sunday on the same weekend, it is festival day, where floats, dancers, and giant puppets traverse around the city.
